Salmonflies and Golden Stones on the WAY!
It is finally looking like Southwest Montana is getting in the summer mode as far as the weather goes after surviving hopefully our last dose of winter last week. This means that some of our rivers like the Lower Madison and the Big Hole may experience the first wave of Salmonflies which will provide some great dry fly action. Montana Flyfishing Expeditions is definitely excited for the opportunity to throw some big dries this year and current river conditions indicate that these hatches should produce this year. Water temperatures are starting to creep up into the mid fifties during the heat of the day which should trigger the nymphs to crawl so stay tuned over the next couple of days and see what pops!
